Snowfall

I can’t even begin to express how nice it was to have just enough snow to be pretty, but not enough to cause me to head into work. After working late on Thursday night for the “Bless our Children” special, I was hoping for a nice, quiet morning.

…and I’m glad to say I got one! Granted, it may have been an earlier morning than I’d have liked – but it was such a pretty snowfall out there that I couldn’t stay in bed.

Here’s one of the pictures we took whilst out and about in today’s snow. There are a few more located at our SmugMug gallery. I really like being able to have the images hosted in their original resolution, and also to have access to everything in different sizes.

The count of pictures taken so far is up somewhere around 1,200 (most of them being of Earl, and most of them not worth posting!) I’m amazed that the battery has only needed charging twice. Our old Powershot camera needed a charge every 30 pictures or so – and that was with a brand new battery!

I can’t wait until spring, when everything comes back to life and it’s warm enough outside to take some pictures without experiencing numbness in my extremities.
