On Blogs And Blogging
I sort of feel like I’ve got things backwards. For a couple of months now, I’ve been dissatisfied with the look of my old website. That simple fact has kept me from wanting to write anything at all. The more I think about it, the more I realize that the message should be more important than the medium. I understand the thought of “style over substance” – and I certainly see it in action, but I never thought poor design would keep me from wanting to express myself.

…but it has. Or at least, it had. I won’t claim to be 100% in love with this design, but I feel like a new coat of paint was just what the doctor ordered. Let’s see if it holds up.
See, the trick is to keep writing. If you stop, you’ll find it harder to start again. If you keep going, you’ll find it easier and easier to put that next thought down in writing. It doesn’t matter if you have an audience of 5 or 500, as long as you’re happy.
Me, I plan to write until my head is completely empty. Despite what some may think, that may take considerable time.
I also plan to try and put some thoughts down in alternative methods. That’s what the video window in the header is for. I’ve got my trusty video camera right here, and will be trying my hand at the wonderful world of “video blogging” – despite the fact that I have a voice for blogging, a face for radio, and fingers for television.
…or something like that.
